A message from Pearson

August 2006
Good morning Pearson owners. It has been a very busy summer as I try to balance my time between work and sailing. Satori has been undergoing some much needed and long overdue cosmetic work. I made the decision to move in a whole new direction on her teak. Fighting the battle of keeping the teak clean and pretty, I have varnished, Cetol'd, Sempco'd, and I do not recall what else I have used on Satori over the last 15 years. I am now taking it all down now and going back to basics and using old fashion Teak oil and love the new look. I will put an article with photos in our association newsletter soon.
Please go to the Bill Shaw birthday notice on our home page. Bill just turned 80 and I put up a dedicated phone line for you to give your personal birthday greeting to Bill. I will put all your messages on a CD and get it too him. September 15th is the deadline for all messages. Having lost much of his eyesight I felt that this would be a very special gift for him to enjoy.
Please also look at our on line Pearson Current. I have not added to that part of our association web site for some time now. We have several articles that I will be publishing that should be of interest over the next several months.
I truly thank you for sending your photographs for our membership gallery. We still have a backlog on these and are continually adding new arrivals to the gallery inventory.
OK, I am off to Satori for a short cruise and should be back around Labor Day,
Wishing you smooth and safe sailing,
Bill Lawrence
