HULL

  • Balsa cored construction makes a light, stiff, well-insulated hull. 

  • Solid glass where through-hulls are located. 

  • Bottom has multiple coats of coal tar epoxy to prevent water intrusion and blistering. 

  • Topsides awlgripped at Oxford Boat Yard in 1997, light grey with white boottop and whale stripe. 

  • Hull-mounted lexan windows replaced by Oxford Boat Yard (1997).

PROPULSION

  • Westerbeke 40 diesel with approx. 1700 engine hours. 

  • Rebuild in 1998 by Oxford Boat Yard included oil seals, new heat exchanger, new oil cooler, injectors serviced, new Balmar alternator, new electrical wiring, repainting new engine mounts. 

  • Stainless steel propeller shaft and three-bladed 17" Maxprop.

RIGGING

  • Mast and boom totally disassembled and refinished with awlgrip in 1997. 

  • Dynafurl furler with new Schaeffer stanchion mounted turning blocks, Nicro traveler, new Harken High Load "Black Magic" mainsheet blocks, new Lewmar Ocean 40AST mainsheet winch, new mainsheet. 

  • New Harken backstay adjuster. New Schaeffer triple lazy jacks. Boomvang. 

  • Reef lines and outhaul internal to boom. Mast has internal halyards: one mainsail, two wire genua, spinnaker, and topping lift. Main halyard winch, spinnaker halyard winch and stopper, utility winch on mast. 

  • Spinnaker track with sliding eye and eyes for reaching strut.

COCKPIT

  • Large, comfortable seats with varnished coamings, large storage lockers, winch alcoves, Edson steering pedestal with Ritchie compass and custom oversized varnished teak-covered wheel, varnished cocktail table. 

  • Teak cockpit grating, Sunbrella-covered cockpit cushions. Dodger, awning. Vented locker for gas bottles under aft deck.

DECK

  • Flush deck with good non-slip surface, teak toerail finished with Cetol, varnished teak deck box in front of mast with dorade vent and stainless steel guard rail, varnished grab rails. 

  • Recessed anchor locker and anchor roller at bow. 

  • Turning blocks and two halyard winches on deck near base of mast. 

  • Spinnaker pole and reaching strut with deck fittings. 

  • Four 12" aluminum Schaeffer mooring cleats, two at bow with bowchocks, two aft. Pulpit, pushpit, and life line stanchions of 1" stainless steel tubing with bases through-bolted to deck. 

  • Custom side-mounted folding swim ladder, polished stainless steel.

  • Three-speed Lewmar 55 primary winches, two-speed Lewmar 40 secondary winches on deck outside cockpit coamings, two utility winches for traveler, foreguy, boomvang on deck forward of cockpit, new Lewmar 40AST mainsheet winch. 

  • Merriman bronze centerboard winch in bulkhead forward of cockpit.

  • Large Bowmar hatch over forecabin in foredeck, smaller Bowmar hatch over main cabin. Nicro solar/nicad vent over galley. Deck prisms. Stove pipe.

SAILS

  • New custom tri-radial full-batten main by Quantum (1999).

  • New custom tri-radial 150% genua by Quantum (1997).

  • No.2 genua, No.3 genua, stormjib, spinnaker.

  • New Quantum sailcover.

ELECTRONICS

  • New Raytheon ST/60 speed, depth, and wind instruments (2000).

  • New Raytheon Raystar GPS (1999).

  • Horizon VHF radio.

  • Maxxim AM/FM stereo with tape deck and four speakers.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

  • 110 V shorepower with shorepower cord.

  • New multi-stage charger (1997).

  • New house bank of two group 27 gel cell batteries (1997).

  • Group 27 engine start battery (1998).

  • New Eliminator 2 (distributes charging power to engine battery and house batteries).

  • New Balmar marine alternator with multi-stage voltage regulator (1998).

  • 12V and 11oV electrical panels with battery charge meter and battery switch.

  • 110V outlets in galley, main cabin and head.

  • Reading lights in forecabin, main cabin, dome lights in main cabin, nav station (red/white) and galley (red/white). Navigation table light.

  • Navigation lights, steaming light.

PLUMBING

  • Bronze seacocks for all through-hull fittings below the waterline.

  • Pressure hot/cold water system with accumulator supplies galley and head.

  • 5 gallon hot water heater (engine and 110V).

  • Foot pump in galley.

  • Salt water pump in galley.

  • Shower and wash basin in head drain into sump with automatic pump.

  • Electrical bilge pump with float switch and control panel in bilge.

  • Large manually-operating Edson bilge pump operated from cockpit.

INTERIOR

  • All joiner work done in varnished mahogany with laminated ash trim. Varnished teak/holly sole.

FORECABIN

  • V-berths with filler piece, hanging locker, bureau, storage compartments alongside hull big hatch overhead and dorade vent provides ventilation.

HEAD

  • Sink with cold/hot water, shower, PAR head with Lectrasan treatment system. 

  • Plenty of storage (sliding door cabinets, shelf, cubbyholes, doors and hamper), mirror. 

  • Dorade provides ventilation.

MAIN CABIN

  • Varnished mahogany drop leaf table. 

  • Settee births with comfortable pilot berths above on both port and starboard. 

  • Six storage cabinets behind custom doors.

  • Shelf and storage cabinet above hanging locker, bureau with drawers, liquor cabinet, Cole charcoal stove. 

  • Hatch overhead.

  • Barometer and clock. 

  • Weems&Plath oil lamp.

GALLEY

  • Twin deep stainless sinks, pressure hot and cold water with PAR water pump, footpump, salt water pump. 

  • Large thermostatically-controlled refrigerator with Grunert engine driven compressor and hold-over plates. 

  • Gimballed three-burner stove with broiler/oven, safety bar, plenty of stowage, trash hamper. 

  • Nicro solar/nicad vent.

NAVIGATION STATION

  • Comfortable contoured seat with storage under. 

  • Shelves, lockers, bins, large hinged chart table.

AFT CABIN

  • Single quarter berth, wet locker.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Full winter cover.
